Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which works to treat drug addiction issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation participates in a number of treatment activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
