Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab partakes in various treatment activities and strategies in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Springfield who are unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their families for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time overcoming mental health disorders which may deter them from staying sober after rehabilitation is complete.
