Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation partakes in a number of rehab services and strategies during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
