Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment facility that is meant to treat substance abuse problems and mental health problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a number of treatment services and methods during the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted men and women in Parlin who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their home and work for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard counseling and therapy for addiction problems while at the same time addressing mental health problems which may deter them from staying abstinent once rehab is done.
