Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehab program that is meant to handle drug addiction issues and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a number of rehab services and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted men and women in Palestine, Texas who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or for those who are unable to be apart from their home for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time addressing psychological issues which may deter them from staying abstinent when rehab is done.
