Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a number of treatment activities and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
