Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment facility which is meant to treat drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation participates in a number of treatment activities and approaches during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
