Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation program which is meant to deal with drug addiction problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab takes part in a number of rehabilitation services and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted men and women in North Stonington who who may be unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be away from their home for extensive periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction problems while simultaneously addressing mental health problems which could keep them from staying sober when rehabilitation is complete.
