Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug treatment facility which works to deal with substance abuse disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in treatment participates in a variety of rehabilitation activities and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem.
