Rehabbing persons who are addicted and dependent to drugs and/or alcohol and have ended up in the criminal justice system has proven effective in preventing repeat drug related crimes for individuals who do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Liberty that do take part in in drug and alcohol treatment programs, even un-voluntarily as is occasionally court ordered, these clients have a far better chance at handling the crux of the problem so that they can remain off of drugs and off of the streets drug related crimes.
