Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehabilitation partakes in a number of rehabilitation activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted persons in Lexington who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be away from their home for extended lengths of time.
