Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment facility which is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a number of rehab activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in Lexa who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their families for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction problems while simultaneously addressing mental health problems which could keep them from staying abstinent when treatment is done.
