Criminal justice clients are a large portion of clients who are currently taking part in alcohol and drug treatment centers in Lebanon and in the USA. Judges in the country are finding it more helpful to rehab individuals who have found their way into the criminal justice system for drug related crimes, rather than punishing them to no avail with jail time and other such rulings. It is proven to be more effective to handle the trouble of drug addiction directly, rather than enforce such penalties. Most who do not end up in drug and alcohol treatment will typically turn right back up in the criminal justice hamster wheel, whilst criminal justice clients in drug rehab frequently don't make the same mistakes and have a far better chance at remaining abstinent and out of the court system for good.
