DUI/DWI offenders in Lebanon are sometimes given the opportunity to take advantage of an alcohol and drug rehab center in lieu of punishment for their drug or alcohol related crimes. The consequences for these kinds of criminal offenses can occasionally be rather harsh, including jail time and significant fines and other significant costs associated with being in the court system for and/or convicted of DUI/DWI. Frequently, especially for first time offenders, the judge will decide that treating the issues of alcohol and drug addiction in drug rehab is going to be more effective in the long term for full handling the issue.
