Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment facility which works to handle drug addiction disorders and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in treatment participates in a number of treatment activities and strategies in the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted men and women in Kaplan who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for those who are unable to be apart from their home and work for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in standard counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while also dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from remaining abstinent when rehabilitation is done.
