Rehabilitating men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and have found their way into the criminal justice system has proven to be effective in eliminating future drug related crimes for individuals that do become rehabilitated. For criminal justice clients in Justice that do take part in in drug and alcohol treatment facilities, even if not of their own choice as is occasionally ordered by the judge, these individuals have a significantly better shot of handling the crux of the issue so that they can stay abstinent and away from the streets drug related criminal activity. The costs to society associated with these drug related crimes is also impacted beneficially when criminal justice clients become rehabbed in drug rehabilitation programs in Justice in lieu of incarceration or other harsh punishment.
