Native Americans and Alaska Natives have considerably increased rates of drug abuse and addiction than other races, an a situation which must be addressed for these cultures to endure. While the causes may vary from person to person, the majority of of the causes for the significantly higher rates of substance abuse among Native American and Alaska Natives have to do with their culture.
