Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that is meant to treat drug addiction problems and mental health problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a variety of rehab services and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem.
