Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment facility that works to deal with substance abuse issues and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment participates in a variety of treatment services and methods in the day and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted persons in Harvey who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their families for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in traditional treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while also dealing with psychological problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent after rehabilitation is complete.
