Centers which go by the name of Partial Hospitalization or Day Treatment programs are offered to certain men and women in Groton who are fighting co-occurring alcohol and drug abuse and psychological disorders. These types of facilities can be effective to specific rehabilitation clientele in Groton who may not be able to afford inpatient care, or who are unable to take advantage of an inpatient program due to familial obligations. Partial hospitalization centers work with the client in the daytime through counseling and other treatment techniques, and the individual goes home in the PM. Treatment is carried out nearly each day of the week on an intensive program which is aimed at fully rehabilitating the individual both body and psychologically.
