Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment facility that works to handle drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in treatment takes part in a variety of rehabilitation activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug problem.
