Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehab program which is meant to treat drug addiction problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in rehabilitation partakes in a variety of rehabilitation services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days a week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted people in Galloway who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be away from their home for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction problems while simultaneously dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent once rehabilitation is complete.
