Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment program that is meant to treat substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment participates in a variety of rehabilitation activities and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the seriousness of the problem.
