Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is meant to treat substance abuse disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment takes part in a variety of rehab activities and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
