Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which is meant to handle substance abuse problems and psychological disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehabilitation participates in a variety of rehabilitation activities and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the problem.
