Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who are currently taking part in drug treatment programs in Daytona Beach and in the USA. Court systems in the U.S. are finding it more helpful to rehabilitate people who have wound up in the court system for drug related crimes, rather than punishing them to no avail with jail time and other penalties. It has proven more effective to tackle the problem of drug addiction directly, than to enforce such penalties. Most individuals who do not make their way to drug rehab will often turn right back up in the criminal justice hamster wheel, while criminal justice clients in drug and alcohol rehabilitation often don't fall back into drug use and have a far better chance at remaining sober and away from the court system completely.
