Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab facility that is meant to handle drug addiction problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation participates in a number of rehabilitation activities and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted people in Cleveland who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time addressing mental health issues which could keep them from remaining sober after rehab is done.
