Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment facility that is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehab participates in various treatment activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem.
