Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab program which is meant to treat drug addiction disorders and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in a number of rehab activities and approaches during the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done several days a week, depending on the significance of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in Chelsea who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in traditional counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while at the same time addressing psychological issues which may deter them from remaining sober after rehab is complete.
