Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment facility that is meant to handle substance abuse issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation takes part in various rehabilitation activities and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
