Programs which go by the name of Partial Hospitalization or Day Treatment facilities are readily available to certain people in Canterbury who are struggling with co-occurring drug and alcohol abuse and psychological disorders. These kinds of programs can be effective to those rehab clients in Canterbury who may not be able to afford inpatient care, or who are not able to take advantage of an inpatient facility because of personal obligations. Partial hospitalization programs treat the client during the day through counseling and other rehabilitation methods, and then the client returns home in the PM. Rehabilitation is carried out nearly each day of the week on an intensive program which seeks to fully rehabilitate the individual both physically and mind.
