Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to handle substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in rehabilitation participates in various treatment services and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
