Rehabbing men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and have found their way into the criminal justice system has proven to be a successful method of eliminating repeat drug related offenses those offenders who do take advantage of treatment programs. For criminal justice clients in Athens that do agree to take part in treatment in drug rehabilitation programs, even un-voluntarily as is often ordered by the judge, these clients have a much better opportunity of addressing the root of the problem so that they can remain sober and away from being implicated in drug related crimes.
