Facilities known as Partial Hospitalization or Day Treatment centers are readily available to certain people in Alma who are having difficulties with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. These types of facilities can be effective to those rehab clientele in Alma that might not be able to afford inpatient care, or who are unable to take advantage of an inpatient facility because of familial obligations. Partial hospitalization centers work with the individual in the daytime through counseling and other rehabilitation methods, and the individual returns home in the PM. Rehabilitation is performed anywhere from five to seven days per week on an intensive program which seeks to fully rehabilitate the person both body and psychologically.
